China's crude steel production grew 2.1% year on year to 685.4M tonnes in the first ten months of 2014, according to the National Bureau of Statistics of China.
However, the growth rate of crude steel production continued to slow down during the period.
In October, the daily production of crude steel in China dropped 3.3% month on month to 2.17M tonnes, falling below the 2.2M per day mark for the first time since March. The production of crude steel also fell 0.3% y/y to 67.5M tonnes in October.
For raw irons, the production increased 0.1% y/y to 599.5M tonnes in the first ten months, with the number declining 3.1% y/y to 57.0M in October.
China's steel production increased 4.7% y/y to 934.5M tonnes in the first ten months, with the number increasing y/y to 95.2M in October.
