Imported iron ore inventories at China’s 45 major ports dipped for the third consecutive week over April 30-May 7 to 111.9 million tonnes, or a new low since late December, mainly due to the remaining high daily discharge rates from the these ports with Chinese steel mills’ preference for port supplies, according to the Mysteel’s latest weekly survey.
