China’s steel mills have consumed more domestic iron ore concentrates over the past two weeks to benefit from the higher Fe grades that concs offer, and at more affordable prices currently, compared with some imported iron ore products, market sources observed on Wednesday. The renewed popularity of concentrates has created a tightness of supply and led to the rapid growth in prices over the past fortnight, they said.
