October 15: Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) is planning to grow its utility vehicles (UV) market share to 40% in a year’s time from the present 36%.
It wants to double the market share of the heavy commercial vehicle segment in the next two to three years from the present 2.7%.
Pawan Goenka, Executive Director, M&M, said, “Our aim is to grow the utility vehicle segment, which includes brands like Scorpio, Balero among others, to around 40% in the next one year.”
The volume driver of the country's largest utility vehicles maker would continue to be the utility vehicle (UV) segment followed by small commercial vehicles and pick-ups, he added.
