Imports of limestone through the port of Mumbai in July 2016 were at 24,000 tons against 10,000 tons seen in June 2016, up a hefty 140% month-on-month, as per provisional information available with ISMW.
Imports of the material for the first 4 months (April-July) of the current fiscal of 2016-17 stood at 76,000 tons compared to 73,200 tons seen in the same period of the previous fiscal (2015-2016), up 3.82% year-on-year.
For the entire fiscal of 2015-16, limestone imports through this port were at 219,700 tons.
