Major Taiwanese long steel product manufacturer-Feng Hsin Iron and Steel Co. has decided to maintain its rebar prices for the week commencing October 20th. However, the prices of section steel will see a cut, the company stated. Also, the scrap purchasing prices will remain unchanged during the week.
According to company press release by Feng Hsin, the list prices for rebar will continue to remain at NT$ 16,900 per ton, unchanged from the previous week. The price for section steel during the week will be in the range NT$ 18,900 per ton to NT$ 19,000 per ton, declining by NT$ 300 over the previous week.
The scrap purchasing prices has been kept unchanged for the week. The scrap prices will continue to remain in the range between NT$ 9,100 to NT$ 10,000 per ton.
The company had kept cut the rebar and scrap purchasing prices during the past week. The scrap purchasing prices too were reduced during the previous week.
