A Warren steel plant is set to temporarily shut down due to difficult marketing conditions, according to a press release.
Warren Steel Holdings confirmed the plan to WKBN Thursday, sending a statement that read:
Given the current challenging market conditions, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily shut down steelmaking operations at Warren Steel Holdings. Our current expectation is to restart production sometime in the 1st Quarter of 2016, contingent on market and business conditions at that time.
The plant is expected to close November 30, but it expects to restart production again before the end of March.
Warren Steel Holdings makes steel in square, round and rectangle shapes.
