Goldman Sachs predicts the decline
in iron ore prices will extend this year as the physical market tips into an
imminent surplus and concerns intensify that China will ramp up cuts to its
steel output.
Iron ore futures in Singapore have
fallen 11.6 per cent from their cyclical high of $US114.95 a tonne reached last
month to sit at $US101.65 a tonne.
