(MENAFN) Iran’s steel ingots shipment saw a surge
of 18 percent in the opening seven months of the present Iranian calendar year
(March 21-October 22), in comparison with the same span of time in the last
year, as announced by the Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA).
As shown by the figures issued by the ISPA, Iran shipped 4.799 million tons of
steel ingots in the seven-month time span of 2022, whereas the number stood at
4.057 million tons in the same time period of the last year.
As declared by the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and
Renovation Organization (IMIDRO), the nation’s shipment of steel ingots jumped
by 25 percent in the last Iranian calendar year 1400 (ended on March 20), from
its prior year.
The IMIDRO’s figures recorded the nation’s year on year steel ingot shipments
at 7.678 million tons in the last year, while it was registered at 6.162
million tons in the prior year.
