-- The steel company JSW Ispat Special Products (NS:JSWP)
released its volume of production for the Dec ending quarter and the nine-month
period ending on Dec 31, 2022.
The joint venture company reported a 0.1 million tonne crude
steel production in the third quarter of FY23, skyrocketing 253% on a QoQ basis
from 0.03 MT in the September quarter. The production unit declined 30% on a
YoY basis in Q3 FY23 from 0.14 MT in the year-ago period.
The crude steel production was higher for the Dec quarter on a
QoQ basis due to the restart of certain plant operations in the quarter.
For the nine-month period ending on Dec 31, 2022, JSW Ispat
posted 0.23 MT of crude steel production, down 43% YoY from 0.41 MT in the same
quarter of FY22.
Further, the company announced on Monday that its Board of
Directors will meet on Monday, Jan 16, 2023, for the consideration and approval
of its standalone and consolidated financial results for the Dec 2022 quarter
as well as the Apr-Dec period.
Shares of JSW Ispat rose 1.11% to Rs 32 apiece at the time of
writing.
