The volume of carbon steel sold by China Steel Corp (CSC), Taiwan’s top integrated steel producer headquartered in Kaohsiung, South Taiwan, slipped for the fourth month in September, declining by another 32,129 tonnes or 4.1% on month to 748,647 tonnes and refreshing the lowest since March, the company announced on October 12.
"Steel demand has shown some signs of slowing recently, especially overseas orders, as local buyers are not active in purchasing, given their increased inventory levels and high steel prices," a company official explained.
